Bringing Back The Link Exchange + Cute Packaging

I recently came across Vickie Howell's crafty podcast (and then listened to every episode while I worked). One of the podcasts was an interview with Jennifer Perkins, owner of the jewelry shop Naughty Secretary Club. Jennifer brought up how important exchanging links is for driving traffic to your site. She said that when she first started her business exchanging links was wildly popular and that it seems to be less so now.

I went through my Google Analytics and saw that Sew Bettie and my blog are getting a ton of traffic from people who were awesome enough to link to my site. I have formally exchanged with a few people and if I notice that someone added me I add them to my links page, which I also link to in the sidebar of my blog.

Okay so the main point of this post is... Let's exchange links! Leave a comment on this post with your blog name and, if you have a shop, your shop name and tag line. I'll add you to my links page. In return, please link to Craft Yourself Rich at http://craftyourselfrich.blogspot.com/ and/or to Sew Bettie at http://www.sewbettie.com/. If you want to use a tag line for Sew Bettie, please say "Fabric, Sewing Patterns, & Kits to Inspire the Crafty Soul in You." It would be even more amazing if you spread the word about this link exchange on your blog...

On a completely different topic, this amazing packaging is from Hide N Seek via Craft Juice. Craft Juice received the package in the mail and took this photo. Makes me want to rethink my shipping packaging.

Great reminder! I've enjoyed reading your blog since I found it - I think from a spoonflower post.

Blog: http://calicodaisy.blogspot.com/

I have a new etsy shop, but it's not too full right yet. Since most of my work is custom, I'm not sure how or what to list yet. It is this, though: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5311954

Thanks, Michele
